This website is owned and operated by Alexandra Information Centre of 4-6 Centennial Avenue, Alexandra, New Zealand, and will be referred to as 'We', 'Us', 'Our' in the below Terms & Conditions. By using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions contained in these terms of use.
General
Alexandra Information Centre provides the information and content displayed on this website to support tourism in New Zealand, as a service to our operators. Alexandra Information Centre, unless otherwise stated in writing, is the coordinator of the services provided by the voucher attached, and acts only as an agent between the customer and the operator therefore disclaim any responsibility for personal loss, injury or damages that may occur.
Product
Product displayed is representative of what is available. Some information on this website has been supplied by the operators, therefore may impose conditions that vary from the conditions stated on this website. Alexandra Information Centre does not take responsibility for failure of any individual product or service to provide accurate information, or for the photographs supplied by the product/service providers, for the use on this website. We make no warranty or representation to the fitness or suitability of any product or service booked through us.
Bookings
Full payment is to be paid in full upon confirmation of booking. The ticket purchased is to the value stated on the ticket.
Online Bookings
All online bookings will have cancellation terms and conditions.
Instant Confirmation:
’Instant Confirmation’ lists products live availability and are instantly confirmed through supplier channel managers. Alexandra Information Centre does its best to ensure that these are up to date and connected to avoid errors. If there are small errors, someone will contact you promptly to arrange an alternative or to fix the error.
On Request:
On Request Bookings are not live, therefore are not confirmed at the time of the booking. Alexandra Information Centre will always do our best to have these products confirmed. Confirmations for “On Request” products are generally confirmed within a 24hour timeframe, however there may be some cases where this can take up to 48hours. Until you receive a confirmation of your booking, it is on a request basis only - This will be clearly communicated in any communications from us.
With the vast amount of systems, channel managers and booking engines across the tourism industry, it is not always possible to display the live availability. Sometimes products booked online are not available. Alexandra Information Centre reserves the right to change and amend bookings if they are not available by the operator. If this is the case, we will notify you. A full/partial refund for the booking will be provided if Alexandra Information Centre are unable to confirm the products, or the full credit can be used towards something else.
Pricing
Pricing and conditions featured on this website are current at the time of publication but are subject to change without notice. Pricing may reflect peak demand periods, changes in surcharges, fees, taxes or currency fluctuations.
All pricing is shown in New Zealand Dollars and will include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax. Prices may not include items of personal nature; meals; transfers; supplier imposed levies; or existing or proposed taxes and government charges until otherwise indicated.
Alexandra Information Centre reserves the right to amend without notice, any advertised prices. Rates advertised on this website reflect the information available to the Alexandra Information Centre at the time of submission. Current valid pricing will be advised on request. Pricing is only guaranteed only after Alexandra Information Centre has received total payment.
Amendments, Cancellations and Refunds
All cancellations must be in writing to the Alexandra Information Centre.
This ticket is only refundable at the point of issue. If you hold a confirmed reservation for accommodation, activities or tours, and you subsequently cancel the reservation, a cancellation fee will apply and in some cases, no refund will be given.
For bookings made by the Alexandra Information Centre, a $30 cancellation fee applies.
Cancellations after the commencement of the booking will not receive a refund.
Cancellation due to health, COVID-19 restrictions or bereavement reasons will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Any cancelled tickets may incur operator fees in addition to the Alexandra Information Centre's fee. Bookings will often include services from multiple providers (bike hire, transport, accommodation etc), and once your booking is confirmed, they will turn away other enquiries. This level of cancellation fee is at the discretion of the operator, which Alexandra Information Centre has no control over.
If it becomes necessary for you to change, amend or cancel your booking, please do so promptly. Operators require prior notice in line with their own individual cancellation and amendment policies before a refund of any prepaid charges will be authorised.
For bookings made by the Alexandra Information Centre, a $5.00 amendment fee for voluntary amendments applies.
Alexandra Information Centre will not be held responsible for no shows, failure to board or cancellation fees by the operator.
Third Party Service Suppliers
Alexandra Information Centre uses a third party booking system, BookIt, to power our online and instore booking. Therefore, when making a booking through our website, you give permission for BookIt to process your personal information, such as name and contact details as well as secure payment information in order for the service to be booked.
By booking these services, you consent to your Personal Information being collected, stored, used and disclosed in this way and for any other use you authorise. You can always opt out of providing your Personal Information with us, but it may mean that we are unable to provide you with the services.
We will always endeavour to be clear about the purposes for which we are processing that Personal Information and our lawful basis for doing so.
Security
Alexandra Information Centre uses a combination of industry-standard security technologies, procedures and organisational measures to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure or use.
When a payment is made through the Alexandra Information Centre website, your personal and financial details are protected at all stages of the transaction through encryption technology. Your credit card details are not stored on our servers at any stage of the transaction. Once the credit card details have been processed through our payment system, they are no longer known to the system.
The payment system Alexandra Information Centre use is Windcave. Windcave has set key criteria that technology companies need to adhere to when building an integration. Windcave is certified with all major credit card schemes and is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant to ensure your transactions are as secure as possible. This ensures that your credit card details are see only by yourself and the bank performing the transactions.
Sensitive Personal Information
We will also provide the operator with your personal details, such as name and contact details to complete and administer your booking. We may also provide the operator with sensitive personal information about you, namely specific details of any relevant health conditions, disabilities, height, access requirements and special dietary requirements you may have. We collect this information directly from you to ensure that your experience is appropriate for your needs and to try and keep you as safe and secure during your stay or for your activity that you book through us.
Insurance
Personal or property insurance is strictly at the risk of the customer. Alexandra Information Centre will not be held liable for any injury or loss whatsoever on any activity, travel or accommodation place. Alexandra Information Centre will do it’s very best to ensure the customer’s travel arrangements are satisfactory. The standard of accommodation and activities are based on a number of factors and we do our best to ensure that our customers travel with reputable operators on their own conditions. We encourage all customers to seek travel insurance advice.
